Using integrated criminal justice and administrative datasets from 2023-2026 we will:

• Estimate the causal effects of PAD on: 

  • Receipt of medications to treat addiction 

  • hospitalizations for drug-related harms (e.g., skin and soft tissue infections) 

  • All-cause and overdose mortality (secondary outcomes) 

• Compare health effects between PAD participants and matched controls (individuals with similar histories who did not participate in PAD) ​
